I'm laughing at accidental gay, because yup, that's pretty much how it went with me. One day it was just like, wait, these characters are so gay for each other, I never meant this??
Tbh I love the black and white, 'cause it's like the comic. And things being depressing and dull looking, even before they were in a depressing state.
